Malbec's ancestral home is Bordeaux, although recently Argentina and other similar places have pushed great examples of the variety. Normally Malbec places a supportive role, but the smoother tannins and great fruit character is something we like to think can stand on its own. We fermented the Malbec in tanks and aged it in French oak barrels for nine months. This isn't your familiar Malbec from South America, but rather one with depth of flavor and a zest for food pairings.
